Peewee
Terrier mix. He came to us at almost 2 years old, he was rescued from a life as a bait dog for a Pitt Bull fighting ring. He is now almost 13 and is fat, happy, and completely spoiled!
Storm
Black Lab. He was brought to us by a hunter. During training at one and a half years old, it was discovered that this guy was gun shy. The hunter no longer wanted him. Storm found a home with us after that, he lived a long and very happy life (as long as you threw his ball)! He was one of the most gentle and loving companions you could ever hope for. Storm passed away from stomach cancer in 2014.
Side note: he would bring us an unmarked duck from time to time!
Buddy
Chocolate Lab. He spent the first 2 years of his life locked in a box with his brother, only being let out once a day. When the owners moved they left the dogs behind in the box in the living room. Buddy lived with us from the day they found him. He had hip dysplasia and had to have an eye removed, but spent the rest of his life fully believing that he was a puppy. He stayed that way right up until the day he passed away due to complications from his medical conditions in 2016.
Morgan
She was rescued from the humane society when she was one and a half years old. Morgan had been through eleven different owners, with no training, everyone brought her back. We were told that if she was returned this time she would have to be put down. She lived with us until she was 13.5 years old when she passed away from old age issues in 2010.
